You said She would never do you harm or lie about salvation the way that I do. Oh, I would grow the roses, so I could cut them down. I'd fill my mouth with graveyard soil to show you what true love is all about, but dead flowers on the table, a sweat-stained collared shirt, shaking hands, and aching tongues could never raise a body from the earth.
